How is it that there is no way to bring them together so the games can be played as intended? You'd think they'd be a match made in heaven. So we have an interesting situation-a collection of great Genesis games spruced up for modern audiences, and a wonderful wireless Genesis controller. Some games in the collection have remappable in-game controls, but many do not. (I understand that a firmware update added the ability to swap the A/B and X/Y buttons on Switch, but in this case it would only muddy the layout even further.) And neither the collection options nor the Switch system allows for customizable button remapping profiles. That's not even close to how I'd want to play those games. The M30 or Retro-bit Genesis pads look like they'd be ideal fits, but after looking into them it looks like there is an issue with getting the button layouts to match up with the game: M30 button It curls around the controller in a way that *kind of* mimics the Genesis, but I've found myself wishing I could go back to the original Genesis layout. This is an okay approximation of the Genesis 6-button on Nintendo's controller layout. The Genesis Classic collection has a very specific button mapping that can't be changed. I was very interested to hear about the M30-it looks like a very quality product at a great price point that would be a perfect fit. I also purchased the Sega Genesis Classic collection on Switch, but the games just didn't feel right with any of my current controllers. It's a wonderful controller, and the ideal way to experience some wonderful games. Made me an extremely satisfied customer with 8bitdo. Purchased the SF30 for the Super Nintendo app on the Switch.
